Ticketeil
Split-ticketing optimizer for Deutsche Bahn travelers.

§01 / OVERVIEW
Ticketeil helps German rail travelers save money by breaking a single journey into multiple tickets covering different route segments. Algorithmic fare-splitting identifies savings that exist within Deutsche Bahn's published tariff rules.
§02 / PROBLEM
Deutsche Bahn's ticket pricing has discontinuities at major hubs — a single Hamburg→Munich ticket can cost €89.90 while two tickets (Hamburg→Hannover + Hannover→Munich) can cost €49.80. Most travelers don't know to look for this.
§03 / APPROACH
Built a route-search engine that enumerates valid split combinations against DB's published fare structure, surfaces the cheapest option, and links to purchase each segment. Free tier (3 analyses/month) for casual travelers.
§04 / OUTCOME
Live in German market. Average savings of 35–45% on supported routes. Lightweight tech: server-rendered results, no app install needed.
